GBTS Philippines is now operating as a pilot. Verified teachers can already post real classroom needs, and givers can browse approved requests and commit to provide the requested goods. We are testing the full experience with a small group before opening it more widely.
What does “pilot testing” mean?
The platform is functioning and can already be used for real classroom needs and real giving. We are starting with a smaller group of teachers and givers so we can identify bugs, improve the experience and strengthen the process before a wider launch.
Can teachers already post real classroom needs?
Yes. Verified teachers can submit specific classroom needs for review. Once a request is approved by GBTS Philippines, it becomes visible to potential givers on the School Needs page.
Who can post a classroom need?
Only verified teachers can post classroom needs. Teacher and school information is reviewed before a request can be publicly approved.
What kinds of needs can teachers request?
Requests must be for specific physical goods needed by the classroom or learners. GBTS Philippines does not allow teachers to request cash donations.
Can givers already provide items through the platform?
Yes. A giver can browse approved classroom needs, choose a request, verify their email and make a commitment to provide the requested goods. Once committed, the giver and teacher can follow the fulfilment process through their dashboards.
Does GBTS Philippines receive donation money?
No. GBTS Philippines does not collect, receive or hold money for classroom requests. Givers purchase or provide the requested goods directly.
What happens after a giver commits to a need?
The classroom request is marked as being fulfilled so another giver cannot take the same commitment. The teacher and giver can communicate privately through GBTS Philippines, the giver provides the goods, and the teacher confirms when the goods have been received.
Can givers and teachers communicate?
Yes. After a commitment is created, the teacher and giver can use private in-platform messaging for fulfilment coordination. Personal contact details such as phone numbers, email addresses and off-platform messaging handles should not be shared.
Is the teacher anonymous?
No. A public classroom request may show the verified teacher’s name, role, school and other approved profile information. A teacher photo is shown only when the teacher has allowed it. Private contact details, identity documents and verification records are not shown publicly.
Can a giver be anonymous?
Yes. A giver may choose to appear publicly as an Anonymous giver. However, anonymous does not mean unverified: the commitment remains connected to a verified account inside GBTS Philippines for security, fulfilment and administration.
How do we know a classroom need was completed?
After the giver provides the requested goods, the teacher confirms receipt through GBTS Philippines. The request is then marked completed and may appear as a completed classroom milestone.
Why is GBTS Philippines starting with a small pilot?
Real use helps us find issues that internal testing cannot always reveal. The pilot lets teachers and givers use the complete process while we continue improving reliability, usability, safeguards and support before inviting a larger community.
